Dr Ryan McConnell
Dr McConnell is an Australian trained interventional neuroradiologist. He has extensive experience in both diagnostic and procedural ultrasound and performs over 500 endovascular procedures each year.
After graduating from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery, Dr McConnell completed specialty training in radiology at Royal North Shore Hospital. He subsequently completed a fellowship in interventional radiology and a further two-year fellowship in neurointervention obtaining CCINR accreditation.
Our Approach
Dr McConnell’s approach to varicose vein treatment is patient-centred. His practice promotes a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where patients are provided with accurate information based on the latest research and technology allowing patients to make well-informed decisions about their medical care. Dr McConnell aims to provide the highest quality of less invasive treatments available for venous disease, obtaining great results whilst managing discomfort effectively and post-treatment recovery time.
Dr McConnell understands the importance of good communication and encourages his patients to ask questions and raise concerns during consultations.

Fiona has over 25 years of experience in medical practice management and healthcare administration. She has been part of the team at Vein Doctors Sydney for the past two years, where she supports the clinical team and helps ensure patients receive high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Fiona is known for her warm and approachable nature and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable throughout their experience at the clinic. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, walking and spending time with family and friends.
